Story of the Week: Ruth's Faith
SELF-SACRIFICE: God's power for you to give up something to help others
Focus Question: How does God’s power help you live life of self-­‐sacrifice, despite the hard times you are facing?

Ruth willing gave up her living with her family and living in her native land because she loved her mother-in-law, Naomi, so much.  She displayed self-sacrifice to give up her comforts and go with her mother-in-law, expecting nothing in return.

Character Formation Virtue
This week we are learning about Jeroboam, who was given the reign over Israel.  Once in this position of authority, Jeroboam did not obey and respect God in the responsibilities that God gave him.

Respect: God's power for you to honor Him and others
Focus Question: How can you respect God through the responsibilities He has given you?

Memory Work
Psalm 25:9-10
He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way. 10All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.

Math: Test on Monday and Lessons 26-29.
